Just wondering if there is anyone else out there in similar situation as me. Our flight to Japan in October 2010 was postponed by a day. We were given a form to claim our out of pocket expenses for the inconvenience. 2 faxes, 8 calls, a written formal complaint and 5 months later Jetstar has still not refunded us our money. All the 8 times I've called, I get told the same thing that someone will call me within 5 days. Well guess what, 5 months later, I;m still waiting for someone to call me. Their service is beyond ridiculous and I've been telling all my family and friends never to fly Jetstar again. They are nothing but liars who have breached their own rules of customer guarantee and satisfaction. Never fly Jetstar again.......

Hi i read your post and I'm in the same situation like u. I'm still waiting since November for an answer and the only oPtion they gave me was a voucher. We lost 2 days to get into Sydney and we came from Spain through Bangkok. I'll never fly again with this company. The service is very bad and not reliable. They don't care if the customers are happy or not. They look only to get money and step on the customers. I hope one day this comPany break down. Good luck!

Hi Qlbert, you were lucky you at least got a voucher. I have not recevied anything but false promises from the CSO's of this company. I have a very good mind of contacting Channel 7's Today Tonight here in Australia for them to investigate all these unresolved complaints about Jetstar. They may do something once they are exposed on TV.

Same thing happened to me in January 2010 out of Osaka except we were told we had to wait 2 days in the hotel or make our own way to Narita Airport (Tokyo). It added a night in a hotel and 7 hours on trains to my journey home. I am still waiting for a refund for the train fair over a year later. That is why his site exists.

Send a copy of your detailed complaint showing times dates etc to the Sydney Morning Herald, they are showing an interest in Jet Stars operation at the moment, keep advising them !!!

Thanks for the suggestion Ari. I will definitely send my complaint to the Sydney Morning Herald. Anything to expose Jetstar. Hopefully this will also help everyone esle who are frustrated with them

We booked Jetstar or my family to leave Tville before thecyclone Jetstar cancelled the flight and when contacted said they would re credit my Amex card 4 calls later still no money really would like that $800.00
My family and I were diverted
My family and I were diverted to Brisbane overnight due to a lightning storm in Sydney on the 8th Nov 2010. After leaving us sitting in the airport for hours they advise they will cover part of our out of pocket expenses and we were to find our own hotel. Flight was supposed to get to Sydney at 4:20pm. I finally got to bed in a hotel at 2:20am the next day! We were told by taxi drivers that the Jetstar staff were in hotel rooms 1 hour after landing!
After many many phone calls and lies I'm still waiting for the money they have promised. They hide under the guise that they are "low cost" however the absolute contempt Jetstar treat their customers saves them nothing.
