no regard for customers

Jetstar are strick on their check in 30 minute before flight policy, but when it is 5am in the morning, no other cutomers around and you are there on the exact time of cut off, with only carry on luggage, surely there shouldn't be a problem. Futhermore there were no other flights for the rest of the day. Disgusted by there disregard for the customer. Jetstar is now blacklisted.

I agree with you that they don't have any respect for customer as long as they can get your money first then they don't care. It happened to my daughter that I booked her flight to go to Tasmania. They are very quick to ask payment and saying to you the flight is all good then they will just cancel without any warning. They don't care if you have a very important appointment to meet people. ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY. AFTER THIS FLIGHT THAT HAS BEEN MISTAKENLY BOOK THE DATE AND PAY SO MUCH TO CHANGE EVEN YOU ASK SOME CONSIDERATION IF THEY CAN ALSO GIVE ANY DISCOUNT BECAUSE WHEN THEY CANCEL THE FLIGHT I BOOKED LAST FEBRUARY I DID NOT GET COMPENSATION BUT THEIR ANSWER IS MEANLY NO THEY DON'T HAVE ANY COMPASSION ALL THEY WANT IS MONEY.

NEVER AGAIN TO FLY WITH THIS AIRLINE AFTER THIS LAST BOOKING THAT WAS DONE BY A MISTAKE.

The time of day, your

The time of day, your luggage, and the number of other people around you at the time do not change Jetstar's rules regarding check-in. They have to close check-in to calculate the total number of passengers before the plane can take off and even one extra addition after that information has already been sent means a logistical clusterfuck for the crew to deal with right at the last possible minute. You could have turned up five minutes, ten minutes, hell even twenty minutes early but you turned up "on the exact time of cut off" (by YOUR watch)... you were late, you shouldn't have been, deal with it.
