I purchased a Special offer advertised in West Australian newspaper Perth to Honolulu via Sydney(economy Perth to Sydney Starclass Sydney to Honolulu)As I was aware of their poor reputation of cancelling flights I decided to travel Monday the day before overseas leg on the Tuesday. I paid Perth -Sydney in the special offer and they also charged me Perth to Sydney the day before they say I booked 2 flights how can I have 2 consecutive flights without returning to Perth???If I had travelled day of overseas flight I would have missed the flight as only 40 mins to get from domestic Sydney to international...impossible!Our flight from Perth on the Mon was 1 hour 20 mins late also..They say if you miss your flight due to their delays they will put you on the next available flight!!!!!!!they only go to Honolulu M,Tu,Th,S & S and that would have spoilt my time in Honolulu and would they have reimbursed me for hotel already paid for and time lost there, according to others who have experienced this problem they do not. I have spent many hours arguing with them they even said the ad was not in our paper I faxed them the pages..Eventually I wrote to the General Manager and that stirred them I suggest every one with a complaint write to him and may be hopefully they will improve their attitude and airline.
I am amazed at the number of people who have told me of their problems and have the same opinion.
I will never travel with this airline again it is appalling

The Perth - Honolulu is sold
The Perth - Honolulu is sold as just that - a connecting flight. You can't book to go Perth - Sydney the day before, and still be entitled to the "special offer" Perth - Honolulu. You would have be charged standard rates from Perth to Sydney, and then it sounds like you also purchased a booking from Perth to Honolulu on the following day. Normally when you have unintentionally made a duplicate booking, they will refund you the one made in error. When you speak to their staff, the difficulty they would have is that you would have boarded and flown from Perth to Sydney the day before your international flight, which would make it very difficult to refund the identical sector on the following day as it is sold differently (from Perth to Honolulu). It's like buying a train ticket from the city to the outer suburbs, but instead you board the train halfway along the journey and want a refund for the unused portion. Very difficult.
