With the Rugby World Cup quarterfinal games in Christchurch now being moved to Auckland my simple request was to transfer my Queenstown Christchurch return flights to a Queenstown Auckland return flights and pay what ever extra cost applied only to be told I could change the date person travelling or time for $50.00 Aus. There was no way I could change my destination......unbelivable with 6 months notice!!!! Dont believe I will be the only person in this position. Thanks for nothing Jet Star flights now booked with Air NZ

It's against the fare rules
It's against the fare rules to change origin/destination no matter how much notice you give (unless it's a flexible fare).
If I were you I would keep trying. If enough people call with the same issue, they may be forced to introduce a policy for the effected customers to allow them to rebook or change destination.

I still say you should call them again and see if other people have been requesting the same thing regarding the rugby. You may be able to rebook or get some sort of credit.
