Schedule Changes

Jetstar continues to change flight schedules.
Even after i specifically booked a direct flight to Tas from Gold Coast they went and changed it 2 times after booking and payment.
Arriving on an Intl flight at 6.30am and then getting the next direct flight at 10.30am to Hobart seemed a perfect schedule for me my inlaws and my baby.

Then the local flight was cancelled to the following day.
No offer of a hotel or anything to help out.

So called the airline (wait wait wait on the phone) changed all flights back a whole day so we could fly on the same day as we arrived in aus to tas.

This meant a whole day wait on the gold coast but still had a direct flight to tas that evening.

But no 3 weeks later change again to a non direct flight to stop in melb for a few hour and arrive in hobart 10pm.

Now i dont know if people understand how hard it is to travel with an infant toddler, but i livid now! arriving 10pm is just out of the question with a baby whose bed time is 7pm!
No offer of a hotel to stay and fly the next day, no offer of a nice lounge to wait in or food nothing!

... im so exhasuted with calling jetstar and having to change our family holidays schedule all the time and maybe, maybe not having to book hotels... its just too much.

Like anyone, I would be irritated to say the least if this happened to me. It sux. However, you did agree to the conditions of carriage (specifically 9.1 and 9.3) which state the following:

9.1 Schedules

(a) Jetstar does not guarantee it will be able to carry you and your Baggage in accordance with the scheduled date and time of the flights specified. Schedules may change without notice for a range of reasons including but not limited to bad weather, air traffic control delays, strikes, technical disruptions and late inbound aircraft. Flight times do not form part of your contract of carriage with us.

(b) Before we accept your Booking, we or our Authorised Agents will tell you the scheduled departure time of your flight and it will be shown on your Itinerary and Tax Invoice. We may need to change the scheduled departure time of your flight after your Itinerary and Tax Invoice has been issued. If you give us or our Authorised Agents contact information, we or they will try to let you know about any changes.

(c) If, after you pay for your Booking, we make a significant change to the scheduled departure time of your flight or the flight is cancelled (except where this is due to circumstances beyond our control) and:

* this change means you are unable to use your Booking for its intended purpose; and
* we or our Authorised Agents cannot book you on another flight which you are prepared to accept;

we will give you a fare refund. Unless otherwise required by law, we will not be responsible for paying any costs or expenses you may incur as a result of the changed time or cancellation.

9.3 No flight connections provided. ie. Jetstar is a point to point airline and does not guarantee connections with other carriers.

As long as they notify you of the schedule change, they are not obligated (as a low cost carrier) to pay your accommodation/other expenses. They will however always happily move your flight to an earlier/next available service.

Hi my flight doesnt start

Hi my flight doesnt start till june 2011
yesturday i log onto the jetstar website and shows a symbole something hnas change.. and apearently i noted that jetstar has change the time slot from the return flight in june

from 305PM to the new 310PM

it shows to confirm the new change or chosoe any of the 2 differnet time slots in the evening flight for free. Only choose one for free without charge. But i didnt want the evening flights so i went ahead and press confirm for the new time slot of 310PM

But i think they do this due to the change of the DAYLIGHT SAVING proposes ?

I hope there is no more changes otherwise i might allways keep on loging into jetstar to confirm this and that constantly till my trip just incase i end up at the damn airport and telling me i havnt confirm nothing

I brought online tickets in feb2011 but yesturday i wanted to log in just to see if my seat is still there for me and its there without change. Only the unexpected time slot was change

But that could be just that its daylight saving in june or such. Correct ?

Tell me your experience what time your flight time was change.. like 5 minutes differents ?
