Small Suitcase & Duffle Bag

Hey guys,

This isn't a "complaint" per say, I'm just sick of going back and forth with Jetstar customer service, where they keep referring me to their website... which I've read about 5 times.

From your experience, how lenient are they with the definition of the "small item"? Its incredibly subjective.

I plan on doing a lot of travel over the next year, booked a few trips domestically and one to Japan with them. Is a suitcase (well within their size requirements) and a non-rigid duffle bag acceptable? Obviously the weight is the most important part.

Have they ever got up anyone for using both bags together? Thanks!

Pretty easy to read the website. My guess is your outside the carry on guidelines if you take two bags on unless your 2nd bag is really small. They never really worry about the weight of non-check in luggage. If you take two larger bits of hand luggage , risk you take is they ask you to check one item - and hence you will have to pay some fees.
