"Star Class" foot note to previous post:

Just to make my position clear. I flew on BA to Europe. Indeed the service was sub-standard, the food was horrid and even the toilet paper was so hard it gave me dermabrasion. And that was in First class. But the tier points, cabin bonus and other points landed in my Qantas account immediately. Would I fly them again? no.
@ Anonymous, You have gone to the trouble to make a comment but too gutless to put your name to it. But I do wish to respond to your "Star Class" comment. Well, you obviously don't travel at the front of the plane with other carriers very often, if at all. It is not 'business' class. It is a sugar coated form of economy and I am being very generous in saying that. They have cheap orange curtains, arrogant staff, serve very average bubbles in plastic cups and their seats don't go flat. And as for the tiny tin of Pringles for dinner, well you might find that nourishing and nutritious but I certainly don't.
Even Garuda's seats go flat. Jetstar don't even have TV screens except for those awful contraptions they hand you. Hardly business class dear heart. Fly Qantas, United, V Australia, Delta etc in their business class and you will note the difference. You obviously have nothing to compare it to. And if you come on here wanting to compliment, or defend Jetstar, this is hardly the place....you've gone way off course. The website is called DontflyJetstar - get it? I am sure Jetstar would welcome your compliment because it will probably be the only one they have ever received. They may even give you a promotion, but I doubt it. Getting something from Jetstar, like good service and a pleasant flight would be like trying to extract a tooth out of a maggot. If they put in Mega Star Class, pour a decent drink in a glass, have flat bed seats, pleasant flight attendants and decent food I might consider flying them again. But hell will freeze over before then, so I am not holding my breath. My husband and I are Qantas Chairman's Lounge and whilst I hate to pull rank, if you were in the same league you too would find "Star Class" extremely uncomfortable and Ghastly.

Very well said, Jodie! Their

Very well said, Jodie! Their idea of "Star Class" treatment is truly a testament to Jet Star's utter lack of customer awareness. By the way, I'm sure that the average bubbles and tiny tin of chips is more than Jet Star think you deserve.
Never Again.

jetstar treat there customers

jetstar treat there customers like peaces of shit! they will neva eva have the skillz to make customers happy, so just neva fly them again 4 sure.
anonymous is just a cowardley tool and will neva say his real name coz he cant owen up 2 being a wanker who works 4 jetstar. he nos they r shit but he still comes on here and trys to defend them anyways! wat a LOSER!
R to tha Y

God how I wish there was a

God how I wish there was a way to ban Remmy from this site. R to tha Y?? You clearly have no reading comprehension skills Remmy as I have said NUMEROUS times I am an ex employee with no reason to stick up for them. Now do as I told you and go read a book. Come back when you have a point to your posts, and can spell.

Jodie I don't feel the need to put my name on my post. Knowing your name is Jodie doesn't mean anything to me, so why should my name mean something to you?

Ok now, where to start. Firstly out of all the carriers you listed, Jetstar is the only budget carrier so don't compare it with full service airlines. The starclass seats are more or less the same as Qantas domestic business class. It is made clear to customers that it is not comparable to Qantas international business class.

Secondly - I can't comment on the bubbles as I chose juice instead, but the food I thought was above average. We had 2 hot meals served and each time had a choice of 2 or 3 and everything I had was delicious (which I was surprised by. They also served us fresh fruits, cake, and cheeses. Maybe I have simple tastes, but I see no reason to complain about this. The cabin crew I found to be very friendly and interesting to talk to. When I compare this to when I flew Qantas business to Hawaii (on an old 767 that was falling apart) the crew were by far more arrogant and unhelpful.

Thirdly - I used to see compliments come in from time to time relating to good experiences people have had with friendly airport staff/cabin crew. Fair enough the people on this site won't agree and don't want to hear this, but its a fact. Not everybody is so anti Jetstar. You people just don't know what to expect from a low cost carrier.

Finally - You hate to pull rank? Yeah right... What are you doing flying Jetstar anyway if you are Qantas Chairmans Lounge members? Oh and being a Qantas Frequent Flyer (of any level) does not entitle you to special treatment or privileges on Jetstar, or give you the right to expect someone to bend policy for you. If anything it just makes you sound stuck up.

@Anonymous III?. Seriously,

@Anonymous III?. Seriously, what are you doing reading and defending JetStar in all this? They must have a good PR person, or they don't?? Are you a major shareholder? This site, is where we express our grievances and bad experiences. And only if JetStar listened to us and help us. They don't. That's the problem. You don't see a "Dontflyeasyjet.com" or a "dontflyryanair.com" or a "Dontflyqantas.com" or a "Dontflyairasia.com". So far I googled, no such anti airline website EXCEPT the one and only "DontflyJeStar.com" dedicated to JetStar. It says something. Customers are pissed too many times and bothered enough to start this website!!!! I feel that's it's not your job to defend them, let them defend themselves. Good thing they are a Pty Ltd, so financial data is not public. Certainly, not everybody is pissed with JS, but if you piss off more and more customers by not listening, then bankruptcy may be down the road. All it takes is just one major mishap (touch wood) it may take the company out!

So listen to your customers! Ignore at your own peril.

yeah i agree wit ali^^ i

yeah i agree wit ali^^ i think anonymous should listen to da customers, and so should all other jetstar employees. its da customers dat keep this shitty airline in buisness. even though anonymous always sticks up 4 jetstar there r always peeps who hate it more then him, so ignor his comments coz he is just an ex-jettsar employee who is trying 2 stick up for his ex-boss or ex-co-workers.
"R to tha Y" is my street name and tag u wanker! but a loser like u wouldnt no abt dat!

Jodie, you sound like a

Jodie, you sound like a holier than thou, stuck up, pompus bitch. What the hell were you doing flying JetStar if you and your "hubby" can afford the prestigious Chairman's lounge? Seems like the only reason you flew JetStar is to justify your lame-arse complaints.
Don't scratch your 4WD on the way out.

R to tha Y - you're right, I

R to tha Y - you're right, I wouldn't know nor would I ever want to know about street names and tags as I live in the real world.
Justin sums it up - Chairmans Lounge members can get basically anything they want with Qantas. Why the hell would you travel on Jetstar.

so Jodie (if that is your

so Jodie (if that is your real name) you flew codeshare BA on a JQ flight, your issue us with BA not JQ.

and dahlng if you are chairmans lounge members, then why are flying ona codeshare - why diodn't you stick up for your rights - sounds like you are a liar to me

I flew Star Class with

I flew Star Class with Jetstar to Bali because their flight schedule suited mine and because my husband and I are supposedly able to earn extra tier status credits to our FF account with Qantas. Jetstar deliberately do not credit them as I can testify with the dialogue I have had with the Qantas Executive Relations team. There are of course two other airlines I can go to Bali, that being Garuda and Virgin. Personally I don't care to fly Virgin (with the exception of V Australia) and I prefer not to fly with Garuda as I do not feel comfortable with the poor safety record. That said, I will never fly Jetstar again anywhere let alone Bali and if I have to fight for points, I'd rather save myself the time and trouble. My travel agent has now found another route I can take with Singapore, a far superior airline with excellent service and seating. They do not fly directly to Denpasar, however I am not adverse to a stop off in Singapore. Indeed anonymous, I do feel you don't know any better when it comes to Star Class food and service. Perhaps you did enjoy their lack lustre hot food and orange juice. But once again, you are wasting your time defending the airline on a site like this. This is a site for Jetstar customers to vent their anger. You on the other hand must have absolutely no life other than to waste it on here defending a cheap arse airline. I am not interested in your glowing stories. You really need to get a job or do something productive. Is your life so dull you need to scrawl through the internet defending Jetstar? You really are a poor pathetic creature. Indeed I am Chairmans Lounge and it's people like my husband and I that keep Qantas (and Jetstar, by default) in business. What I expect from an airline irrespective, is to be treated with common courtesy and respect - just like every other punter. I received neither from Jetstar. Of course, those who dislike the fact I am Chairmans Lounge status are clearly pea green with the fact I can glide through the private glass door and you cannot. It is all very well to judge a person and be jealous, but I happen to support a lot of charities and contribute to the Australian economy by being taxed to the gills. It is the likes of me that keep people employed and support those dole bludgers who are too lazy to get up off their backsides to work. If the truth be known, the likes of Anonymous and Justin would like nothing better than to be seated in the CL and at the front of the plane consuming top shelf alcohol and cuisine. But they can't and are envious of those who can. It is not a crime to be successful. But returning to the objective of this site, it is for those who, as I said, wish to vent their anger and frustration. For the most part, there are people on here that have been treated terribly by Jetstar. For many of them, they have chosen to fly with them because the fare fits their budget. Then they are taken advantage of, treated with contempt, ripped off and left stranded. There are struggling people out there who have managed to save to take a vacation and because of Jetstar's arrogance and complacency, their trip has been ruined. If Jetstar wasn't such a terrible airline, this site would be non-existent. And as for being a snob, that is only a tag jealous people bestow on me because they are full of envy and hatred. In closing, Anonymous - you really do need to get a life. If you have an ounce of dignity you will not respond to this post and go about doing something constructive. This site is about people (be they rich, poor or otherwise) to support one another, share frustration and continue to spread the word -Don't Fly Jetstar.

Anonymous you are such a

Anonymous you are such a wanker...you want Remmy banned from here? Man you really do need to get a life as Jodie said cause you're making a fool of yourself.......how true is it that you have no life. Even Jetstar didn't want you. Seriously why would someone be such an idiot and come on here making excuses and defending the airline like a rattle snake ready to strike. Is Centrelink funding you while you make a fool of yourself???????????? You are sick.

Wow really?
Have you ever heard to start a sentence with a capital letter. Have you ever heard of commas? Ever heard of checking your comment before you post it? Ever heard of the word you missed out on? Be? You idiot. Jodie, you can pump out a great note. Fancy that idiot preaching about paragraphs when they are illiterate. Like you Jodie I wont cram up this site with paragraphs. Ar-hahahahaha the jokes on you you idiot. Made a dick out of yourself.

How was Jodie's comment a

How was Jodie's comment a tirade? Am I missing something here? It's refreshing to see some educated individuals on here with proper writing skills. YES CRB that person made an idiot of themselves. Mr Dictionary seems to be have an RDO today.

so CRB - double post - good

so CRB - double post - good one you dickhead
left out a word - oh thats horrible
started a sentance without a capital letter - shoot me shoot me now

it's a tirade because it is a long angry speach - what you have no dictonary - dickhead
you guys are funny

J Strong - what a tool you

J Strong - what a tool you are to make such assumptions. Jetstar didn't want me??? I moved on by choice to work for Emirates in a higher paying role. How childish are you to attempt to insult me in such a way. We are all adults here, except Remmy. And Jodie, I may not get exactly the same benefits as you do with your Chairmans Lounge, but I do get upgraded to business/first class most times on my staff travel benefits. I will not be replying to this topic any further.

oh no I spelt speech wrong -

oh no I spelt speech wrong - the horror the horror

I'm off to top myself.

@really? - You still can't

@really? - You still can't form a sentence with a capital. Get out your Oxford and look up 'spelt'. Then again, you wouldn't know what an Oxford is, except maybe the street in Sydney. You can't even come back with a humorous or intelligent response to J Strong. And you still can't spell. 'sentance' you idiot. Every post you make just confirms how much of an illiterate hack you really are.
But instead of bitching about someone's paragraphs - or lack thereof, get back to the point of this site. We are nobody's fools, least of all yours.

Oh dear, "really?" you must

Oh dear, "really?" you must be an employee of JS. You can't spell and careless with your grammar and keep making the same mistakes over and over again. If you're not employed by JS you would most certainly fit into their mould. IDIOT. As Winston Churchill once said, "If we do not learn from our mistakes, we're condemned to repeat them". But of course you wouldn't understand any of that.

He or is it she? Whoever,

He or is it she? Whoever, they are just making a fool of themselves. They must have an RDO from JetStar.

Anonymous is working for

Anonymous is working for Emirates? And I thought they were a good airline! They've just gone down in my estimation. Makes you wonder even further why they would wast their time on here defending Jetstar....at least Jodie doesn't need to rely on the chance of an upgrade.
Why on earth would some dick brain come on here to defend such a poor airline and then turn around and say they work for Emirates? What a tosser.

Oops sorry to the spelling

Oops sorry to the spelling police. I made a boo boo. I meant to say 'WASTE' - plural of really? Ar-hahahaha

Yep me reckons anonymous is

Yep me reckons anonymous is also a true tosser and so is really - probably one in the same....?

LOL my name is Anonymous and

LOL my name is Anonymous and I work for Emirates. My favorite hobby is looking up Dontflyjetstar and being a wanker.

Jodie, Is it not a bad status

Jodie, Is it not a bad status symbol to fly Jetstar in your "class"? The shame you must have felt to get on that plane. Perhaps that's why you whinge about how disgraceful this airline is. I mean how could your friends know you fly such a scummy airline. To my admission I have never flown in a business class of any airline. However, I know for a fact that the price you paid for a Jetstar boarding pass would have been much cheaper than that of a full service airlines' business class.

In summing up it is of my belief that it would be protocol for people like you to automatically not enjoy a low cost carrier, whether they had been good or bad, you were always bound to give them a wrap. Unfortunately in your wrap you exposed the extent of your own intelligence. I learnt how to write a paragraph in Grade 3 but as they say "whatever ever floats your boat". As long as your happy.

And by the way my name is

And by the way my name is Sam.

Bette Lynch - why the hell

Bette Lynch - why the hell would I respond to J Strong's post - it is nothing to do with me.

Spelt - is the past tense / past participle of spell - what word was I meant to use oh great one?

Ironically, you started a sentence with And, and another with But, and when calling me on spelling sentence wrong have a full stop before a lower case in quotation marks, but you are trying to call me on my grammer and spelling. - ha ha. - see it is easy to make typos.

also, I do not care that I didn't use caps to start a sentence - big deal.

Kezza - I do not work for

Kezza - I do not work for Jetstar, your quote of WC's is apt - everyone that keeps going back to Jetstar (the whingers on this site) should keep that in mind.

minor spelling / etc no big deal - I note that you are careless with your grammar, not having the word "are" in the sentence "...You can't spell and careless.." - bit careless of you - do you work for Jetstar, as you would fit into their mould FUCKWIT.

Ruth Emmett - like your name

Ruth Emmett - like your name implies I am sexless.

Kent - myself and all of the

Kent - myself and all of the anonymous's (anonymi's, anonymums - mmm maybe the spell police will the answer to that one) are not one and the same, but thanks for your kind thoughts, I also think that you are a tosser.

The reason I decided to

The reason I decided to comment on here is because I believe Jodie has made a valid point. It is true Jetstar and or Qantas do not credit points when flying the Jetstar service. It is most annoying and that is why I joined Star Alliance.
I also flew in Star Class and found it lousy. Pity the better airlines don't fly to Bali. Good on you Jodie.
