Toilets ran out of water

I didn't see if anyone else already wrote about this, but anyway..

I have had my issues with Jetstar cancelling flight and putting us onto an inconvenient flight etc. However, my travel partner somehow convinced them to give us a full refund (wow!) and we rebooked.

So I went ahead and booked Jetstar for flights to Hawaii last year, in May. THe return flight was painful. The flight attendants seemed to be in the most awful mood, speaking realy abruptly to passengers etc.

But the bit that made me decide no more for me, was that just out of Sydney, they announced the plane had run out of water thus the toilets would no longer flush and there was no water available in the lavatories for washing hands, and could all passengers not use the toilets until landing in Sydney and using the toilets at the airport- unless it was absolutely urgent then the flight attendants would unlock the toilet and provide bottled water.

ARGH! I have flown HUNDREDS of times on all sorts of flights on all sizes of planes on all lengths of flights- never has a plane ran out of water..how is that possible? We RAN to the toilets when we got into Sydney...

I'd be happy for someone to tell me this is a common all airline problem, but I've never ever experienced it before. Maybe possible on other airlines yes, but with Jetstars known issues of cancelling flights, of rude customer service, moody flight attendants, and a new one of not being allowed to use the toilet..well... I won't even risk it with Jetstar again.

No, it's not a common

No, it's not a common problem. It's common only to Jet Star. It really is a horrible airline, never fly with them again.

nothing the airline or flight

nothing the airline or flight crew can do about that, looks as if the ground crew ( whom i might add are contractors) either didn't fill the Lavatory serivce full or there was either Ice or another blockage in the fill system. The tank only hold around 50lt of water for the toilet system, so it is also plausible that the system was used to the point of running out.
