Trying to hide under

Bought two tickets Wellington to Auckland for myself and my partner, flying off at 10.20pm on 1 April (Friday night). Arrived early to check in luggage, which went fine. They announced that flight would be delayed and will do another announcement in 10 minutes, and keep updating us. Waited 10 minutes, no announcements so went to check the departure board. Apparenly it had been delayed to 23:55 (with no announcements). It seems like Jetstar staff were trying to hide information from us. Later, found out from the other passengers that the plane from Auckland had landed and the flight back there was cancelled. No announcements yet from Jetstar staff.

Passengers proceeded to the counter with questions only to be ferried off to accommodations/home. One Jetstar staff member was exceptionally rude to me, and I gather because I am Asian. His tone and behaviour was appalling, and treated me as though I couldn't speak "good England".

They said they're rebooking people onto new flights. To cut a long story short, my initial rescheduled flight was due to leave at 3.50pm today, but had been delayed until 6.10pm. This is my first experience flying with Jetstar and since my partner has an international flight on Sunday, we're not going to take the risk because the likelihood of this happening (delayed and cancelled), nd risk losing the connection, purchased new flights on Air New Zealand.

Rang Jetstar customer care who couldn't give me a written/email confirmation of the refund of this flight (the delayed/cancelled ones), and refused to reimburse for hotel booking already paid.

Suffice to say, I've also bought an AirNZ flight back to Wellington from Auckland. It may cost more ... but at least the flight leaves on time.

You will be glad you are not

You will be glad you are not coming back Jetstar because once again you will feel human and be treated like a human being instead of being despised by jetstar for being one of their customers.
