"We misplaced your bags, SORRY"

I flew from Melbourne tp the Gold Coast a few weeks ago. When i arrived at the Gold Coast my bags didnt and i had been told they had been "mispaced". I was given a case number and told to go home. The next day i received a phone call saying they had found my bags and the would be put on the next flight back. When i didnt hear anything for a few days i called Jetstar and got told that they had been lost again! or stolen.
Jetstar managed to lose my bag twice. I am now in the process of trying to claim the $1600.00 (this wont repolace evrything that was in my bag) It takes 2 weeks to process the claim and 2 weeks to process the money.
I have alreadt been without clothes for 2 weeks and no one at jetstar can tell me anything. If i email i don't get a response.
I need to speak to someone that understands im a young girl and can't afford to replace eveything without Jetstars pay out.
Don't expect to speak to a human if you need help with anything. Apparently their staff cant help

My arse they "lost" them. I

My arse they "lost" them. I have said previously about the scam Jet Star are running where they claim to have lost or misplaced the bags only to steal them and sell / keep the contents. I think this story proves that.

I had a flight booked to

I had a flight booked to another town to attend a graduation. I received an email telling me that the flight was changed to arrive at 6pm- too late to make the graduation. I phoned and was on hold for 15 mins and had a conversation with someone. The only alternative was 4pm the previous day- while I would still be working. I booked the flights on the 20th Jan, this was the 1 March that I was told I would need to find new flights- and the cost would be more I was sure. I was hung up on at about 8.45.
I phoned again and this time was on hold again. I had the conversation again and was told the same thing. I asked to speak to a supervisor, waited a few times, then was hung up on again at 9.22.
I phoned again, waited on hold and asked to speak to a supervisor again. This time I got the supervisor. There was nothing they could do. I couldn't travel when they offered me flights. I asked them to book me on a Qantas or Virgin flight to save face for customer service- no. It would be 15 days till my money was refunded. They shortened that to 5 days. I didn't have money available to book another flight immediately and had to borrow some as Virgin only had one flight left that day.
The trip home will be more expensive now that more than 6 weeks have passed between the date that I first booked flights and the date that I will buy the return trip. They offered $50 to help pay for my trouble- I hope the refund includes the extra $50 and I hope that covers what will be increased cost of fares. I will be telling about this story. I will not be flying Jetstar again. I lost my booking that I made 3 months ahead of time.

What idiot thinks that a huge

What idiot thinks that a huge company such as an airline would steal the contents of someone's baggage to sell it for jack shit on ebay or whatever you think? You are a true idiot if you think the airline PROFITS from misplacing people's luggage! Not only does the airline have to pay hundreds to thousands of dollars to people for the cost of the items in the bag and the bag itself but they lose customers and in turn revenue, and they have to pay staff to search for missing baggage, communicate with passengers and process claims! If you think it's individual staff that are stealing baggage that's another issue, but i wouldn't call it a "jetstar scam"!
