I’m pointing this to you Aussies people who pretend cannot understand Malaysian accents, when the agent cannot help you. Note this YOU CANNOT UNDERSTAND MALAYSIAN ACCENT, WHEN THE AGENT CANNOT HELP YOU. Out of 100% calls which we receive, 70% of Aussie is a very nice people and friendly, but 30% out of it is total CRAP, expecting more and more. It’s a simple commences that every Airline do have their own Terms and Conditions, just because the ticket is cheap you people will jump in and do the booking (I BEEN HEARD MOST OF THE PASSENGER TELLING I WILL NEVER FLY WITH JETSTAR AGAIN…HOW TRUE IS THIS LAH!!! ), when some circumstance which doesn’t allows you to travel that is the time you people will call and request for something which is impossible, and when we Malaysian cant help that is the time you people tend to not understand us and request speak to supervisor or AUTRALIANS as tough they can sort it out for you. Bare in mind that both Malaysia and Australian agent are provided with same authorities and knowledge, even you speak to the CEO of the company the policy are still the same. You a purchasing a FLIGHT TICKET!!!! And not a fish from a market for you to bargain and negotiate. And now the Malaysia chapter of Jetstar call centre are coming to the end on the 28/02/2010…None of us are worried that we losing our job, we have plenty of jobs in our country, but am wondering why there is more and more Australian call centres are now operating in Malaysia!!!! Orite Aussies so enjoy talking to Manila agents, the conversation will take ages to end….ENJOY.

This dear friends only
This dear friends only fortifies what we are complaining about. The Anonymous person who posted this message clearly does not command very good English language skills. He/she cannot spell properly or articulate. No wonder we have trouble speaking with overseas phone operators....and at this juncture, I cannot understand this post. What atrocious English. If I am being discriminatory, then so be it.
ORITE Aussies, I've had my say. And if anyone can understand what this fool has written, please share it. ORITE?
I like they way the author
I like they way the author set themselves up on the same plane as the CEO of Jetstar. (And for the benefit of the author I am not talking about an Airbus)

Dear Marjorie, It's very
Dear Marjorie, It's very unfortunate that there's so much frustration being vented here and that the general Malaysian Call Centre population are being stereotyped to be in the same league as 'Anonymous'. He's a one off. And it's even more unfortunate that you have gone on and criticized the rest of us without giving it any second thought about what you are actually implying. And the worst bit is that out of the millions of sperm your dad jacked off into your mom, you were the one that came out. Damn...
Anyhow, these agents receive calls from Australians and most of which ends well; except for a minority of people who obviously had a bad experience. I'm sincerely surprised how ignorant you can be. What? You've never encountered similar experiences anywhere else? You douche. But I guess if you really need to vent your frustrations somewhere, this site is as good as any - regardless how poorly processed your thoughts were. Hope you feel better Marjorie. And hang in there - puberty can be a very emotionally frustrating time for anyone. You'll get through it.
Ouch, that has got to hurt! i
Ouch, that has got to hurt! i reckon his English is pretty good for a Malaysian. Mine isn't that bad either. i know you guys get Frustrated, but to Criticize EVERY single one of us isn't cool.
Ah yes..i see the pain of
Ah yes..i see the pain of losing The Ashes to the Brits is still festering among you dingo-banging koala-smooching idiots..sigh..the lengths you all go to insult people is pitiful considering the fact that you seem to be unaware that you gotta be prepared to take as good as you give..so here goes..a couple of rules for your aussies out there that seem to be agitated (be it not many dingos are around or losing The Ashes)
1) Lay off the Incest (seems alot of you are inbred considering that you seem to have a hard time pronouncing words)
2) Lay off the booze (as above)
3) Clear your ear-canals
4) READ THE FARE-RULES
5) Learn to utilise the computer (avoid errors)
and my favourite...6) Learn Tagalog!!
so go back to your Koalas and your Dingos..practice you cricket..and have a little respect for other people..if you wanna be respected and avoid insults..then do the same..

For most Malaysian people English is their second language, and they have articulated their point very well considering. The fact that you can not read this comment how are you judging anyone. My 3 year old daughter writes worse then this and i can understand her words so how cant you? This leads me to believe that all 3 of you are single minded, don't know a second language and haven't traveled overseas. Have you ever heard of discrimination? I'm Australian and i can read this comment perfectly clear. If we are judging maybe we should look in our own back yard. High school students are now using txt language in their written end of year exams. I'm not the greatest fan of Jetstar by all means. However i think we should think ourselves lucky until now that Jetstar have both and Australian call centre and a Malaysian call centre. As from the the author has said looks like its all going to Manila soon and then we are going to be majorly screwed.

I just found out about this
I just found out about this forum and it's funny reading all the comments. when it comes to Malaysian English, their english is quite good. compared to other people whose English is their mother tongue. I used to work there, at the call centre. i know some customers who call in would think that we're dumb, we're stupid and we can't solve the problem. you can't simply judge ppl working in the call centre and call them dumb and curse. they have degrees! they have master degrees! maybe they just enjoy being in the customer service. maybe the pay is good. there are a lot of reasons out there. when customers call in requesting for something ridiculous, we can't simply say yes and do it. what if jetstar is ur company and ur customers called in requesting for free stuff? would u entertain them? obviously not. we're just following the rules. not just jetstar but everything out there has rules. if we can do it, we would've done it. we will try our very best to play around the rules to help u. if we can't means theres no other way around it. i dont care if u want to bang jetstar. but ppl in the call centre, either in melbourne or malaysia, they work hard to satisfy the customers. but everyone knows, we can't please everybody. nature of work. you should know this if u have a job
My partner & I had a very
My partner & I had a very expensive holiday in Malysia, booked via NRMA Travel and the carrier was Malaysian Airlines in 1999-2000. It was the worst holiday overseas or locally (Australia) we have ever had. We are not racist people, just born in Australia. We didn't expect Malay Airlines representatives at KL to laugh at us when we told them we were sick from food poisoning and tried to change flights to an earlier return booking! It was then when I held up my video camera which was running that the laughter and smiles on their faces dissapeared and they promptly found a seat that afternoon. We were offered drugs by a seedy security guard at a Hotel in Penang at 10AM Christmas day in Penang; In the same hotel our clothes came back minus their coulours and when we complained, again the stafff just laughed and smiled at us. You don't have to speak good English when your body language says it all. We transferred to a different 5 star hotel where we were offered a stolen digital camera while having our evening meal and trying to relax. Service is important to us as we are experienced travellers and maybe Jetstar and Malaysian Airlines and a wjhole bunch of other hotel staff representatives anywhere in the world could take a lesson from more professional companies like Thai Airways, Vietnam Airways and Northwest Airlines.
