Like many other travellers, I

Like many other travellers, I'm scheduled to fly to Taiwan on 21st March for a week. With the current Covid 19 and uncertainly across the globe, I'm not keen to travel and risk myself to get infected.

Spoke to Jetstar I was told I'm not allowed to refund my trip. In view of Covid 19 outbreak that affecting more countries; airlines should be more flexible. As it is there is so much hassle to plan and then change or cancel any travel plans. I'm sure given a choice no one wants to cancel any holiday plan made.

I booked my flight last year, no one foresee we will be facing Covid 19.
Airlines should allow refund in form of travel voucher or to change destination. No one knows when Covid 19 will die down, what happen if I change the date but situation remains the same? Do I change the date again and pay for penalty for changing date?

On Jetstar website
For passengers travelling to/from Taiwan (updated 21 February 2020)

Header stated travelling to/from Taiwan. And Singapore being in Orange DORSCON; doesn't that also means Singaporean should not be travelling to Taiwan as we come from country with Orange level? Therefore why are we not allow to have a refund?

Its a win win situation if passengers are allowed to have refund in form of travel voucher and able to change destination. At least passengers can continue to support and travel with Jetstar.

A lot of industries are affected with Covid 19. There should be flexibility, eliminate fees instead of try to make money out of the situation. Surely airlines won't want to lose customers in a long run.
