My bag was lost/stolen on the 18th Feb. it was checked in and tagged, so its in the system but who knows where!
It took me 3 weeks to get an address where i could put in a claim for the bag. I sent a claim form to GPO Box 4713 Melb,Vic, as instructed, apparently that form was never recieved.
After ringing Jetstar a few more times,we recieved another claim form via email, which we faxed back on the 26th march.
We have since recieved a letter dated the 26th march, regarding our feed back, which I'm led to believe relates to a complaint letter that I posted with the "original" claim form?.
Since this letter we have had no correspondence whatsoever. I have emailed the claims department and all they did was send the original email, with the claim form, suggesting that I hadn't responded.
Try and ring someone for a bit of one on one..just a bit of feedback, NO Chance, any ideas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

On 28 April we flew Melbourne
On 28 April we flew Melbourne to Christchurch arriving 11.30pm.. my bag never arrived. the staff that night were friendly and we thought it boded well fr the return of my bag. however we were stuck in a city without even so much as a tooth brush and despite telling them this, we were not offered so much as a toothbrush.. The next day (as requested) we fronted up at the jetstar desk at the airport and were told our bag had not been located, and that they would remain in contact with us. Who "they" were was nt elaborated on. the following day, not having received the bag (and now worried because my wet bathig suit would be rotting and stinking) we phone again, "it has left melbourne but we dont know where it is"... great. the saga continues and to this day we still do not have our baggage returned to us..... fly jetstar????? Dont even think about it.... but oh wait... we were offered a 50 voucher off our next jetstar flight YEAH RIGHT!!!
just so you know, accusing
just so you know, accusing someone of stealing your bag is pretty low if you don't have proof. When you check in you bag it goes through a maze of converyor belts, scanners, and turn tables before it reaches our lateral to be placed into a can. Those shitty little plastic tags that are placed onto you pag have a nasty tendency to get caught on a number of moving parts on the system a tear off. A bag with no tag will get diverted to a security office who's job it is to see if there is any name tags on the bag, then try and chase down the airline that passenger is checked in with.
Normally it takes between 5 and 15 mins for a bag to get from checkin to loading. without a tag, it can go around the system for 30 mins before getting picked up by secuity.
We can't load a bag that never makes it to us.
The same thing happened to
The same thing happened to me, My flight was from Melbourne to Sydney, bag never arrived when I reached sydney, and jetstar customer service staff said it must be stolen by someone else, what a BS!! They lost your bag and put all the blame to someone else!! That's totally unacceptable. I emailed them my complaint form and after their first reply (only told me they received my complaint), I never receive another response for months? I think they just try to delay the compaint, and you will forget about this after few months. Never take Jetstar again, low quality customer service and poor management. It is a dishonst company (I took so many different airline before, this is the only bad customer service I have ever been experienced, no responsibility at all). They got cheap price with cheapest quality (but their price is still not competitive enough compared with tiger).
