Canx and no voucher

I Purchased a return ticket from Wellington to Auckland to connect with my Emirates flight to Dubai. On the morning of the flight I received a text message saying the plane was delayed 30 minutes, which was fine. After driving to the airport it still displayed 30 minutes delayed. Then when the Flight time came along they announced it was Cancelled. Clearly they would have known at least an hour ago it was cancelled. A mad rush of about 400 passengers including those from previous delayed flights stormed the counter where they offered vouchers to fly with them another time.

Why hate Jetstar

10/25/2012 my family and I (3 persons) returned from Singapore in Tel-Aviv, via Beijing, tickets for Singapore - Beijing airline Jetstar were booked in the spring, through the site: www.bt – store.com (flight JQ7. JetStar 7. Thu, Oct 25 6:35 pm).
At the airport, the reception JetStar airline companies told me that there are no tickets booked for me (in the US at this time it was night, so it made no sense to call), and I had to buy new tickets.
Later I was told that my tickets are still confirmed on the bt – store.com site.

How to contact Jetstar Finance Dept???

Hello,

I need to contact their finance dept asap because even though my bank and their own receipt says my flight payments have been received, Jetstar cancelled my booking 1 day out of flying because they "don't have my money" when they actually do.

I have noticed this is a re-occuring problem with Jetstar and it is frightening that this large company can't use BPAY, this is the third time this has happened where they can't find my money and I am fed up. This kind of problem can't go on!

Paying almost double just to change the date

Paid $710 for two return flight tickets on the 30th of November 2012 from a travel agent The missus then had a change of heart so I went and change it to the 8th of December.

The lady at the travel agent then tried it online as well as calling Jetstar to see which one is cheaper. To do it online cost $160 while through the phone, the Jetstar staff quoted $400.

I ended up forking out $160 to change the date, which means I paid $870 in total for tickets that would only cost me $556 to buy.

What a bloody ripoff. I understand they're just a budget airline but doesn't give...

exorbitant changes to change name on ticket

We booked two seat to Newcastle several months ago, booked on line and paid for. We are off to my wife's Grandmothers 90th birthday.
Jetstar in their wisdom several weeks ago changed out flights.
Due to this flight change it is no longer convenient for me to fly. My wife has elected to go anyway, even though her visit will be greatly reduced. I understand I cant get a refund for my seat, so I called the " no help at all" support line" and inquired about allowing my daughter to take my seat. I even said I was willing to pay for the privilege of this change.

Should Jetstar be fixed?

My partner and I flew Melbourne to Launceston (return) on Saturday J733, flight was supposed to leave at 8:45am, we boarded at 11:45am. It took Jetstar almost 2 hours to find hardcopy manifests so they could board people manually... you would think that a company the size and with the experience they have, there would be a procedure or process in place for such an eventuality? Apparently not!!! I would have thought a hardcopy manifest would be a given with and available for check in staff for every flight?

Mr D Compton instead of Mrs D Compton

A mistake was made in the names on the booking. Jet Star had the booking as D cpmpton and D compton instead of D compto and Mrs D Compton. I am not a large person and need two seats. I phoned to change the names (the person was in the Philliphines), I was infomed that due to company policy it would cost me $A180 to change the name to my wife.(10 seconds on the computer). Lack of customer service

Firslt i would like to start with the cabin crew om my flight. They were wonderful and i could not fault them at all.
My problem was i had to fly to Sydney as my elderly father was in Intensive Care after a serious car accident. On my flight there was a very rude obnoxious male who was already on his way to being drunk. He was very load and talking about sexual acts with children sitting two rows ahead of him and elderly people around him. Booked a flight from Chch to Auckland for Feb next year and while i was booking the flight,it ended my time due to inactivity which was fine.Went to rebook the details and accidentally put in Jan 2013 instead of Feb 2013...

No refund for uneeded service and rubbish charges! - Charity fun!

I created a group on facebook with the full story of my problem (http://www.facebook.com/groups/170149686462338/) but basically the gist of it is that I am sick of having to pay for being tall (for extra leg room), having to pay to for things I did not ask for (and not being able to get a refund) and their practices just stink.

I have had problems with Jetstar before, but this is beginning to top them all. I have been left stranded at an airport for up to 6 hours with no word from Jetstar - yes this annoyed me. When I thought customer service couldn't get any worse.. I was wrong. Very wrong

My parents purchased flights and made a direct deposit at a commonwealth bank branch for the flights as they did not have internet banking setup.
I called on their behalf to jetstar since they didn't receive their itinerary and was told by customer rep #1 that branch deposits were not acceptable and therefore my parents were required to go back to the branch and get a refund.
The line cut out before I could ask anything further so I called back, repeated the story and was told by customer rep #2 that a refund was not required, but a payment inquiry needed to be submitted online...

Mislead by Jetstar

We purchased 4 return tickets as part of Jetstars birthday sale, we paid extra to allow us to change dates and names on the tickets to give us some flexibility. perth to bali, how bad could it get?

Cancellation and bags of nothing.

I had booked my flight to Cairns months ago. I was to fly up on November 12, view the eclipse on November 13 and fly home on November 14. As I had never flown with Jetstar before, I had no reason to believe that they would be different to any other of the many airlines I have previously flown with.

Cue the phone call telling me my flight had been cancelled. I was the offered a choice. I could fly up on November 14, 3 hours after I flew back from Cairns, or I could go on November 8. Since I don't do time travel, I was left with no option but to fly up on November 8. A whole 4 days...

CAIRNS FLIGHT TO SEE TOTAL ECLIPSE CANCELLED - 4 DAYS LATER OFFER REPLACEMENT!

I am a single mother who has saved and saved and was very excited to fly from Melbuorne to Cairns to see the solar eclipse. I've booked non refundable accommodation and transfers. I purchased a flight a month ago with Jetstar who just emailed me a changed itinerary changing my flight to four days later. After the eclipse. I couldn't believe this. When I booked there were many flights on November 11 to Cairns but now there are only two lsited and both are unavailable. I booked early to get to see the eclipse in Cairns on 14th November 2012.
I got a call saying my flight had been cancelled.
After only a few minutes of conversation it was established that Jetstar had cancelled my overbooked flight (how an automated seat allocating system can do this I don't know!) and now a new flight had appeared with the same departure time but a new flight number! It was, of course, booked out. I wonder how many of the passengers bought cheap tickets for that one?! My guess is none...

Goddammit I hate jetstar

I hate them so much I won't even give them a capital letter for their name. They changed my flight time, and although it may not be the worst story on here, it still annoys the hell out of me. I will be taking my refund thanks and using to buy a flight on another airline, I don't care if it is more expensive!

CANCELLED FLIGHT

Dear JetStar,

thank you for canceling mine and my boyfriend's flight to my mother's wedding today.

Also, thank you for offering to refund our flight price as a measure of 'good will' (NZ $149).
Fat lot of good that is, considering replacement flights today cost us NZ $700+.

Apparently the cancellation was due to a 'strong odour' coming from the plane.
My boyfriend informs me he too will be leaving a 'strong odour' in the plane on our flight back.

Worse than Soviet era Aeroflot

I booked a Friday afternoon flight from Wellington to Auckland for the grand price of $69 for my wife and I - first time we have been anywhere near this pack of conmen posing as an airline.
Shortly after my booking we found that we had to travel on the Friday following my booking so I rang JokeSter to see about shifting the original booking a forwards.
The nice young lady in the call centre said that that would not be problem but it would cost $100 each. I said I may as well go back online and book for $69 each. She then told me the flight I wanted to shift to was $100 and...

Flight changed without consent or notification

I just called Jetstar about a change to my flight they made without informing me. I only found out because a friend had complained about the same thing so I thought I'd check myself. They moved my flight from late morning to late evening, meaning I would miss out on the concert I was travelling to Auckland for. Jetstar "offered" to put me on an earlier flight for a nominal charge of $120! I said I could just re-book myself online for the price of the new flight of $49 and asked, if they could move me to an earlier flight then why did they change it in the first place? Jetstar really tried to rip me off!!

Jetstar tired to charge me $400 extra for 3 bags and the original $162.00 for a two hour flight.
I told the agent forget it and went to Air Asia. $222.00 for the same thing.
Now 6 days later I see a new charge on my ATM card removing $162.00 from my bank account.
Jetstar is the biggest ripoff I have encountered in years.
Please do yourself a favor and don't use them.
I can't believe charging people for something that they don't use.

Im sitting in my lounge its 2030 pm on the 22/10.12 in Alice Springs my phone rings its my mate ringing from Bangkok airport, mate i thought you were back in Darwin i said to him. Okay he says i agree Shitstar are a joke he's first flight from Bangkok to Singapore was cancelled so they put him on the 7pm flight which still gets him into Singapore to connect to he's flight to Darwin. Wrong they then cancel the Singapore to Darwin flight so he's now stuck in Singapore.
