Jetstar Complaints

Cancelled flight

Last night, after dropping my daughter off at the airport for a 7.10 pm flight to Sydney , she rang me and told me that Jetstar had cancelled the flight, no prior notice, and the only alternative they could offer is 10am the next morning. As she had a doctors appointment in Sydney at 8am , this was not possible. Also , the Mantra hotel would not even listen to any extenuating circumstances, so not only is she out of pocket for the nights accommodation, but also the doctors consult fee. When contacted. Jetstar replied that she was " in the queue for a flight refund and gave her a 100.00...

Why oh why did my GF not listen?

Today I am ashamed to be Australian and associated with Jetstar as an Australian brand. The call center people you have placed in receipt of call stemming from the business conducted with fare paying passengers, are beyond incompetent in understanding what they actually say.

I had to rebook a ticket for my girlfriend who I told not to use JQ in the first place as I was already familiar of the distain and abhorrent customer relations you practice.

However, I congratulate whoever has trained the call center workers to remain calm and caring with phrases of "i'll be happy to...

Disrespectful and disgusting Employees

I am disgusted and annoyed with how bad JETSTAR treats its customers, esp women with children. My sister couldn't hold all the her bags while carrying my nephew to board her flight from Wellington to Auckland. She goes to ask the JETSTAR employee at the counter if she could get some assistance, she was very confident that he would help because he was samoan and would have some kind of remorse to help. Unfortunately he turned her down and said WE DON'T OFFER ASSISTANCE, she was confused and almost in tears because there was no way she could carry her son and two bags and when everyone...

A fun trip with Crap Star

Dreadful flight last Friday 30th March. Our flight was due to leave Tullarmarine at 3:50pm. We (fortunately) got advice via sms that it had been changed to 5:50pm. Seems most folks who checked in for the 3:50pm flight didn't get that info. Get to the airport to find out that our flight was leaving at 6:05pm. Slight problem with that - there was no plane. Seems out flight had been delayed due to a fire in the Qantas Lounge (on Thursday) that had caused delays on Friday???? Anway we all board eventually then spend 3/4 hr on the plane with no air condititioning. I felt very sorry for...

time rules

Now we all know that if we don't check in before a certain time we can't fly. Yesterday i made sure i was going to be there early, so i wouldn't be rushed. As i was travelling Jetstar i wanted to have a meal before we were to take off. Now the restaurants are past the security point.

So i got there early, and i had to wait over an hour to check-in to my flight. I flew with Qantas two weeks earlier and as soon as i got to the airport I could check in. (3 hours early) Another thing is as you only have 20kg limit there are no scales at Sydney to check your checked luggage weight...

Jetstar, NEVER again

Jester - sorry that should be Jetstar (or should it?): I will NEVER, EVER fly Jetstar again:
Five of us travelling to Vietnam for an organised motorbike tour (obviously on fixed dates).
1) Some time after original booking Jetstar cancel our 4.5 hours direct Darwin > Vietnam flight and replace with 18 hours (elapsed) via Singapore. So, we change all other connecting flights and hotel in Saigon.
2) Then a few weeks later this week they inform me that they have cancelled ALL Darwin > Vietnam flights for the day we were to be travelling - we'll have to travel the day...

Worst Airline - First And Last time for me. Jetstar staff and Managers are uncaring and without compassion

First time I have ever used Jetstar and the last. I have flown with airlines all over for many years. It's like flying with a bad outlet of Mc D's .Initially all seemed OK until I spent the afternoon and evening with delays. It's now 10:45 at night and I'm hoping that there will be no more delays. Now it's true I ve experienced delays before but the staff did not seem to care just appologise. No offer of even a drink voucher. But just you be 5 might.s late to board and your left high an.d dry and expected to pay. They are bold as brass!

THE JETSTAR CALL CENTRE OPERATIONS MANUAL???????

Have been leaked a copy of Jetstar's Manila call centre ops manual. Worth checking out.

This is every Jetstar victim's absolute dream. Call 131538 ... short wait in the phone queue ... greeted by a friendly operator ... who speaks fluent English ... sympathises with you ... apologises for yet another cock-up ... offers to help ... and actually does something! The reality is not a dream it's an absolute,...

No listening, No discussion, No Empathy

My Infant and I arrived at the airport one Saturday morning last year to depart Christchurch in our move to Auckland (for Earthquake reasons).
Upon check in I was asked if I realised I had only paid for 20kg of Luggage as I had two suitcases, of which I replied yes and that the second 13kg suitcase was my infants bottles, formula etc.
I was then advised that I would have to pay for the excess baggage.... $195.00 for 13kgs ONE WAY !!!
Of course this would never had been an issue, or brought it the first place if I had of been informed otherwise when I called to check...

Lousy call centre agents. No call log and calls are not recorded as informed.

I think is time Jetstar take serious training to improve the attitude of your vendor call centre agents. Bad experience 4 out of 5 calls to Jetstar hotline. When a question is post example to confirm if airport tax included from destination airport. None and none of the call agents I contacted was able to provide me a firm answer. Some did not bother to check with their senior and answer me "Sorry, I am not sure about this." Those who has checked and came back to me, "I do see there is a tax charge in your tickets. I am not sure if this is the airport taxes." I am able to get the answer as...

No refund for flight cancelled by jetstar

My jetstar flight was cancelled in Jul 2011 due to the ashclould.

At the time I asked for a refund and was told a credit would be on my flight for the next time I fly.

I then find out that they had issued a voucher with an expiry date in 3 months which I did not receive.

This in my mind is theft - you pay for a flight and get nothing. They say because they issued a voucher that has expired there is nothing they can do.

Making light of Terrorist Threats against Australians

As you may be aware, on 18 March, 2012, an event which occurred in Bali resulted in the Australian government raising travel warnings to Bali to high risk. On the news and in newspapers, a request was put out asking Australians to reconsider their travel plans to Bali in light of the events. Myself and a friend are booked to visit Bali on March 31.
I called the Jetstar customer enquiry line on March 19 to enquire as to the possibility of changing the flight destination (NOT getting a refund). I had already looked online and was aware that for a cheaper fare, I could purchase return...

The Website Timed Out and Restarted the Ticketing Process At the End of the Booking Process.

5 years ago - I was totally stuffed around flying from Ballina to Melbourne, and vowed never again to touch JetStar! Today, I vowed FOR A LIFETIME!!

I was on the website, clicked on a flight for $119, went straight through the details, added in address, phone number etc. Put in my credit card details and clicked Book - when "BAM" up comes a message saying, [UNAVAILABLE FLIGHT] please re-check your details...

I check everything and click go again, in frustration I clicked back and it reset the price from $119 to $159 and then minutes later from $159 to $189.

I call...

Apparently no one has a phone that works in Sydney Airport.

1 bag doesn't make it onto the akl - syd flight. Mine.

48 hours later it's delivered to sydney airport. (allegedly)
But no one knows when it will be delivered to me. No one has a phone number for the courier company that supposedly delivers missing luggage. No one answers the phone 02 969 32563 at Sydney airport. The call center can't get through to them, I can't get through to them. The call center can't tell you the name of the courier company so trying to make contact directly is an utter waste of time. I can't figure out whether I should just go to the airport to try and...

Charged me $220 to take my guitar back to Australia after charging me nothing to bring it to NZ.

When checking my guitar in at Melbourne I had to have my guitar checked in. I asked the lady at the desk if I would be charged for excess. She said no. I have NEVER on ANY flight been charged for carrying my guitar as extra baggage with me on any flight ever. So, simply said I would never have taken my guitar with me in the first place. I had someone with me who would have taken it back. On the way back. They charged me. After dealing with EXTREMELY unreasonable attendants and a cocky of a bloke (the manager) who made no attempt to rectify the situation even with the proof that I...

4 hours before flight to singapore TODAY my daughther who flying to SPR with n 2 month old baby to meet her grandmother who flew into SPR from Holland.
Any normal airline would find a rerouting via another australian airport - jetstar "offers" refund or if u wish u may go the next day.
this is a mickey mouse airline buying a ticket is a contract obviously with no obligation by Jetstar.
u try to change a flight n u pay for it
getting a refund at this point is a joke it will cost as there is way to get a decent price.

i spoke to the "customer service" of JS -...

Delayed Baggage

I flew Melbourne to Darwin a few weeks ago, and after a two hour delay in Melbourne we were told on arrival to Darwin that a pod of luggage had been taken off the plane in Melbourne before departure for safety reasons (luggage was making the plane too heavy or something, whatever).

A woman from Jet Star told us she'd text msg us all when our bags came in which would be about 1am in the morning on another flight. We were told we'd have to come pick up the bags ourselves the next day. Goodbye day trip I had planned. But I didnt have it as bad as some of the other passengers who lived...

Booking and flying with process is never simple or completely accessible for wheelchair users.

I was flying Melbourne Tullamarine to Sydney with Jetstar. I have been flying with them regularly for roughly two years, and therefore I know their booking and check in procedures for customers needing assistance with a wheelchair.

Usually when checking in my 100kg electric wheelchair I am asked how much it weighs and what kind of battery it has. This enables check in staff to contact Jetstar Security via phone to obtain the 'Security Authorisation Number' to gain permission for my wheelchair to fly.

When checking in for this flight from Melbourne Tullamarine to Sydney,...

"LOST BAGGAGE"

Last October I flew with Jetstar, for the first and last time ever. The only reason I flew with them was because my trip was a last minute decision and they had the best departure/arrival times I could find. I'm a Virgin member and usually fly with them exclusively, and naturally had my Velocity luggage tag attatched to my suitcase. I arrive in Bangkok, go to the baggage carousel, wait for 20 mins and watch the conveyor go around and around, minus my suitcase. After going to the lost baggage counter, the staff tell me that my bag is either in Singapore or, of all places, Melbourne, even...

Sorry you missed your flight...we moved it FORWARD 8 hours!

My husband booked us tickets for me to spend my birthday at Sydney Mardi Gras in Sydney. Not a long trip, fly in Friday, fly home Monday. On Monday, we arrived at the Sydney airport at 5.00pm for our 7.00pm flight. At the counter we were told that our flight left at 11.00am that morning and as they'd sent us an email on Friday, we wouldn't be getting a refund.

Hello Jetstar....not everyone has (or wants) internet access on their holiday - ASSumptive. We didn't have internet at my friend's place. No text to either of our phones letting us know of this change.

We enquired...
