Did anyone buy a starclass seat to Honolulu yesterday on a plane that actually had no starclass seats?

Not enough paasengers on JQ3 to Honolulu flight on 5 May 2011. So Jetstar downgrade the plane, to a plane with no starclass seats, so they say. Starclass passengers are offered economy seats or no flight.

Worse still, yesterday Jetstar continued to offer full price Starclass seats on this flight, on a plane that apparently does not have any starclass seats!!!!!!!!

How can I speak to someone at JetStar in Australia? About Lies, promises of a refund then being told I had been misinformed. So sad, too bad!

As the Australian government was asking us not to travel to Japan and because of the radiation danger from the Tsunami and nuclear Power Plant explosion I phoned JetStar about their approach to refunds or deferral of travel. To my pleasant surprise I was promised a refund, along with other people I know. So, I happily went off to book and pay for a cruise as an alternative holiday. Customer Service

We were saddened by the lack of Customer Service last night on flight JQ 529, when a young mother with a child in arms travelling by herself was left to struggle down external stairs to tarmac, up stairs to enter plane with her personal & babies hand luggage with no help or offer of by assistance ground or flight personal on plane, not even a kind smile . On arrival, a repeat of lack of care & assistance .Any injury to child or herself would have been the direct course of the lack of care .After being in customer service all my life I have never witnesssed such lack of care...

3 staff checking in 4 staff in line moving people whose flights were about to close,
1 hour delay on tarmac - not sure how many people on plane
low on food,
staff can't speak English
1 hour delay leaving Darwin
Comming home - on time out of Denpasar - YE-HAR
arrive in Darwin
40 minute delay getting baggage - not enough staff
scheduled 3 hours in terinal to catch flight at 6:10. 5:50 announcemnet that flight delayed till 4:30 that afternoon...

Update on stuck in Darwin story

I sent a very very detailed 5 page letter registered post to David Hall CEO outlining my issues with Jetstar.

I received a blah blah letter to which I replied again, quoting their own charter back to them, by registered post.

I received another letter basically calling me a liar, stating they did try and contact us, to which I replied again, stating that I was telling him he was being fed *** by his staff and that I could or would prove it. My phone records and email accounts would be produced to support my claim., again by registered post.

They wont pay Refund

Hi, bought 2 starclass tickets to Thailand. Did pay extra in case I had to cancel, which I did. Cancelled in February, still waiting for a refund despite several calls. They tell me they contact their finance department and will get back to me.

Non Existant Customer Card Centre

I applied for a Platinum Card which entitled me to a $200 credit to be used on a Jetstar flight. The cost of administration charges to set up the new card was $159. The credit of $200 is required to be used within 3 months after notification. Prior to expiration date I tried to use credit and they said it was void. I made several calls to try and resolve the issue but they referred me to an online customer care centre. The conditions of that call centre state that they will respond within 14 working days. FLIGHT CANCELLED AND NO REFUND OR VOUCHER ! DON'T FLY JETSTAR

I have booked my flight to Tokyo for the 17th of may before the whole disaster in Japan happened . My flight has been cancelled . 23 phone calls to their call centre later still no answer , no refund , nothing . NO numbers to contact their customer service managers , no response to my emails and no response to their online complaint form which i sent 2 weeks ago .I haven't been contacted at all. They conveniently change their website so that there are no updates on the flights to Japan at all! They are THIEVES , stole my $NZ 1260!

on 6:30pm in the night of 1st of May 2011, I got text message about cancellation of flight JQ986 7am morning flight on 2nd of May, please call 131538, but it took more than 30mins to get through and talking to human beings. Tullamarine is not Avalon

6:40pm flight JQ625 from Sydney to Avalon cancelled due to "operational reasons" (sorry Jetstar, be more specific) and now waiting for an 8:00 pm flight to ... Tullamarine then a bus to Avalon. Missing Bag for 8 Days

My wife and I flew to Bali from Melbourne via Darwin on JQ61/81 on the 24tth April.

Our one checked bag failed to arrive in Bali and for the last 8 days we have been subject to the most atrocious levels of customer service we have ever experienced.

I understand bags can be mishandled but the staff at Jetstar Melbourne and their Baggage Services in the Philipinnes are not even able to communicate just what action if any they are undertaking even after numerous telephone calls and emails.

Jetstar is not value for money - too many problems

Late last year I booked jetstar flights for my family and paid over $2,500 via POLI, according to Jetstar they never received payment, the problems I had with the call center and finally trying to get some help from Qantas I still received no help at all. all round crap service

Due to a few traffic mishaps we arrived at the airport during final call stage, normally you'd be worried right but not me I had cleverly booked in online "To save myself time" as they advise in those informational pdfs they send when you book a flight online with Jetstar.
My wife and I rush past security, get to the gate only to be told by a very "don't give a stuff" attendent that the flight has left and we have to report to the service desk.

Jetstar will not refund duplicate booking

I booked a flight with Jetstar from Manila to Perth on February 23 on the Jetstar website and paid with my Visa card. How disappointed Jetstar, all flights that were running from singapore by Jetstart were cancelled in Singapore, why? we don't even know .. It is really a low cost airline with no responsibility whatsoever.

Just six minutes late to check in = 80 $

My flight was meant to be on 29th of April 2011 from goldcoast to Auckland , and the counter closes 1 hour before the flight and I was just six minutes late and I was not allowed to get on that flight , and I had to pay 80 $ to move my flight to the next day , the next day I come and jetstar announces 1 hour delay for the flight and all I get is we apologize for the delay !!!? Is that fair !?? I am late six minute for the check in time closing and your are 1 hour delayed and all I get is we apologize !! Where shall I cash it and get my 80 $ ???

Flights "delayed" and cancelled with no refund

I also find Jetstar's behavior unbeliavable. They cancelled my flight from Ho Chi Minh to Singapore on April 11 and the only way to get a refund is to call a number whose lines, alas, always seem to have a high volume of calls right at that moment. With waiting times of "more than 30 minutes" (which basically means "you rather give up"), I called in vain and now I'm in Spain, wondering how to sue Jetstar Asia. Never going by Jetstar Again

well i was sitting at the airport from 5am till 8pm they kept getting delays
Well they offered a $100 voucher which doesnt even work wen you go online to activate it doesnt work.

Back in February I booked a return trip to the Gold Coast. Because I have had two knee replacements I always book seat 1F and pay the extra. Until yesterday this seat had always been allocated. Received a text cancelling my flight to Newcastle from the GC but got the info too late to be transferred onto a flight from Brisbane. Took 5 phone calls to finally get through to follow the "Recovery Process" as per the text. Hosties start to sell food and drinks from both ends of plane
3 hours into the flight they arrive midships to inform those in the centre seats of plane they have run out of food and drinks
20 minutes later same hosties enjoying 6 hot meals that were supposed to be sold out????
Are the passengers there for the employees or are the employees there for the payng passengers

Try getting a sleep at the rear of the plane

On the way back 4 and half hours of constant chatter from hosties so no sleep at rear of plane for customers

Broken Promises - Refusal to do the right thing!

I made a booking on the 8th February for some family members - instead of using CC (cause of the $25 CC Fee) - my partner placed the booking via Direct Deposit. Flight was for 17th of March.

We then called up a month later as we had still received no confirmation / flight details - waiting for 50 mins on hold to get through to them - I found out that the flight had been held/cancelled as they hadn't 'received' payment the phone call then mid conversation the call drops out - another 50 mins of hold later I find out the details on how to get this rectified - I have to fax in...
