What a bad name?

Hi, This is my very first International Holiday with my family as plan to go to Bangkok at 22/11/2011 and back to Singapore at 29/11/2011.

Now the Bangkok flood situations is very bad and will be flood over six weeks, now with my family mean with kids you expect me to bring my childrens that is less then 3 yrs old.

Almost every day i try to call them and did not give me any a good answer. Worst still they always need us to call them, and wrote to them and there is no answer from them.

Gosh, I am very sad and wish that they will at least let me to cancelled the ticket...

Cancelled Cairns Nz Direct flights

Hi all...further to my earlier posts on here about the Cancelled direct flights; Jetstar have now booked a raft of flights so that I can still get CNS-QT and then QT -CNS in less than 24 hrs each way. Means an extra day's travel, but now i dont have to overnite in Auckland so that saves me some money. They are paying for it all , even the final Qantas flight to get me home. Hang in there, be polite and persistent...and hopefully you will be looked after too! good luck, marooned Jetstar Queenslanders!

Jetstars Insurance : the sting in the fine print : don't buy it : get it from a reputable provider

We recently flew with jetstar and being conservative flyers we took out the jetstar insurance ( I usually get RACV travel insurance).

The website and policy blurb indicated it would cover
baggage lost by jetstar :OK
cancellations due to illness, JETSTAR CANCELLING YOUR FLIGHT etc
additional accommodation and meals if flight delayed or cancelled.
Well THEY DONT EXACTLY DO THAT EITHER! READ THE FULL STORY BELOW

So after Jetstar cancelled our flight ( they were behind on the maintenance of the engines and CASA was investigating their maintenance schedule...

Frustration to the max

I was all ready to get on my flight to Perth, the screens had shown no delay at all. Then suddenly it changed to an hour delay. That was fine, I could handle an hour delay. Then the plane has an oil leak, so all of the passengers were disembarked off the plane. No answers were then given and since they could not give me a time as to when they would be leaving or an approximate I walked around Adelaide airport to find a Jetstar staff member to ask. I could not find anyone. I was eventually told if I did not want to continue the flight, which I honestly did not, I felt uncomfortable that...

Flight's been changed (it's a secret)

The return leg of my journey between Osaka and Auckland was booked in July and then changed by Jet Star in September. Whether it be from overbooking or a dropped flight (I doubt it in Xmas time), I don't know. I also very nearly didn't know that they'd even changed it. I had a missed call which I assume was from them (unknown landline number), but no message was left and I never got another call from them. Sure I could have called them back, but who ever heard of a company that would field customer calls like that?

I also received an email from them on the same date as the assumed...

If you want to book in advance in order to fly on a particular date and time, pick a different airline.

I booked in July to fly return from Osaka to Wellington just before Christmas, which involves one international booking to Auckland (going via Gold Coast) and then a connecting domestic flight booked separately but also with Jetstar to Wellington.

At first it seemed fine. Then two weeks later I got a call from a representative telling me that my flights had been canceled. Because I could afford to depart and return a day earlier that was resolved painlessly, and the staff member was helpful. It also meant changing the booking of accommodation, but luckily that also worked out...

Where MY refund

My Partner was ment to be on a flight to Perth form Melbourne when a storm hit melbourne stopping most of the flight thats fine BUT when you have heap of people waiting for the next flight only to be told it wasnt going to happen over 12 hours after it was known to staff that is terrible customer service what you ment to do he had flown from tas and had noone and nowhere to go we book another flight on Virgin and he managed to arrive in perth the very next day. My gripe is that we have not heard from anyone form jetstar to refund our fare for the flight or the excess luggage fee we paid....

Change of itinerary

I had flights booked to Melbourne from Brisbane at 10.50am on the Friday before Christmas. Today I received an email from Jetstar advising me that the flight is now departing at 6.25pm. 8 hours later!!! Arriving in Melbourne at 9.45pm! We have a three and a half hour train trip to add to that to get to our destination - hence the early flight. I am of the understanding that many flights have been changed. I waited 58 minutes on the phone to get to speak to a person. The best they could offer me was another date OR a refund. Pardon! This is the Friday before Christmas.

JetStar "Great" Customer Care Service

I called JetStar Asia to ask for a refund of my ticket due to a problem with JetStar online booking system. I did call JetStar "cold"-line service 6 times and I wasted at least 1.5 hours for each call to talk to JetStar Customer Care officers but they could not resolve the issue. In August 2011 I talked to a Jetstar staff over the phone to explain the problem, and then he promised that someone would call me and give me the refund next week which was supposed to be mid of August 2011. I waited for more than 2 weeks but didn't get any calls from JetStar.

Cancelled Flight .... Ruined Holiday!...Never again!

We booked a return direct flight from Cairns to Auckland.
Four weeks out from the flight I had a call to say the flight was cancelled, no reason, just not flying direct anymore. No apology, I could have a refund or fly through Melbourne...a 15 hour journey each way!!! not even departing on the same days.

To make it worse, the return Auckland - Melbourne flight arrived at 11.25pm and the next flight to Cairns departed at 6am - all night at an airport...nice!!!

I asked if we could break the journey in Melbourne and overnight each way...making the journey just bearable....

What a Joke...Offer a special deal...and then cancel the return flight out of Queenstown.

Flight Booked: April 2010 (Gold Coast to Queentown NZ - return) Date of travel 4th November 2011

It's one month before our Queenstown NZ holiday. Flights are booked, All accomodation, Motor home etc.

Jetstar called me today and told me that they where no longer offering a return service from Queenstown to Gold Coast.

The first option offered was a refund...What good is that..!

The second option was a return flight out of Auckland to Melbourne..Overnight stay..Melbourne to the Gold Coast The next day....Declined that offer. (no additional expensives are picked...

Empty Promises

Five months ago my husband passed away very suddenly. This was quite a traumatic event and as a result there were several flights he had booked with Jetstar that required cancelling. After calling to find out what to do I followed instructions and submitted all the necessary paperwork and waited for a response. None was forthcoming so I tried calling but as it was during the Chile volcano crisis I didn't get through on the phone.
I continued to try and call to no avail and with the demise of Tiger any contact with Jetstar was impossible.
This became too hard so my daughter took...

Bad Timing Means A Funny Story

This is more of a funny story than a complaint, but it still raises a couple of questions.

Flying out of Dunedin (not Queenstown, but Dunedin is not an option on here) to Auckland, we had taxied to the runway threshold which is quite a distance away from the terminal buildings, where we waited. 5 minutes, 10 minutes then 15 minutes later we were told there was a problem with one of the spoilers that the flight deck were unable to fix, so we would have to taxi back to the terminal.

Back at the terminal, we were asked to remain in our seats and the cabin crew opened the doors...

I have no luggage

Checked in at Perth on Sunday and the lady at qantas checked my bags all the way through to Taipei!!! Get to Taipei after going via singapore at midnight and I have no luggage! Reported it to Taipei and they took all my details! Sinapore then said on the Tuesday they will send it and it will get to Taipei at lunch time!!! It's now Fking 8 pm and no bags to be seen!!!!! They may be in Japan cause that's where the flight was going after it got to Taipei

I have no clothes no nothing except the clothes I left Perth with on Sunday!! It is now Tuesday night

My Complaint letter to Jetstar after flight cancelled....

Two of us flying back to Christchurch on the Sunday - and received a txt message at 3.51am (sunday morning) advising flight had been cancelled and ring 0800 800 995 for "recovery options" (who thought up this wording shouldn't it be for re-booking?).

When I awoke at 7.30am I rang Jetstar on the above number at 7.30am. The call was not answered until 9.30am - 2 HOURS - have you ever waited for a call to be answered for 2 HOURS - I would assume not - I have never waited this length of time in my life before. My partner & our 2 children arrived at Brisbane airport 30 mins before the bookings closed for their flight. She waited 20 minutes in the standard 50 people cue before she handed her ticket to the Jetstar employee. Without entering the ticket he turned to the women next to him & spent 2 mins complaining to her about his shift roster. He then entered the ticket & said to my partner that she had to go to the other counter as her flight was being checked in here. She moved to the other counter & again handed her ticket to a Jetstar women who started to enter her detail but was...

Jetstar engaging in extortion

While making a reservation online, I selected my payment method and agreed to the terms. After I was charged, the screen displayed an error message indicating that the fare I was paying for was no longer available and I would have to pay more - AFTER I WAS CHARGED THE ORIGINAL FARE. There was no email from Jetstar with the reservation details. No indication at all that the reservation was even made! Just an email (from PayPal) that I had been charged the original fare!

I was able to determine that a reservation did in fact exist after ringing and waiting on hold for 20 minutes. The...

Jetstar Fucking screwed me Up!!!

I made a simple flight booking.. a one way trip.... Filled in details and everything..seems fine..
UNTIL..there's this stupid UOB Authorization PIN.. I just left and get my phone for a while cos it's just charging... Keyed in the number and guess what ? It says the motherfucking session expired!!!
So how ? I was panicking... i try to re-book again.. and guess what ? The previous seat selection i selected which was 5D required a top up of $13 cos it was the front seat, it was taken.. i was thinking.. could it be my previous booking went in ? so i called to check jetstar and it...

You're dumped

Jetstar, i really love the way you cancel international flights and expect me to pay for more expensive flights with another airline at last minute because you can't fill a plane - consider yourself dropped! - i won't be flying with you again.

I also liked your generous offer of transferring me to another Jetstar flight - the day of the Melbourne Cup - thanks Jetstar, of course you would offer this day as an alternative.

8 days holiday - BUT waiting for 6 DAYS of lost baggage

Left melbourne for Queenstown NZ on Sunday 4th Sept. On arrival my husbands luggage did not arrive!! funny because my bag was next in line to be ticketed..... and I got my luggage.. After many many calls and no-one being able to say where our baggage was, a trip to queenstown airport on the 8th sept was needed just to talk to someone face to face...... eventually after 6 days, and only 2 days left of our holiday in NZ our luggage arrived!! WOO bloody HOO. To the ticketing lady (I'll remember you.......)

Stranded in Darwin

Flight with Feral Airlines ( I think my wife and I were the only ones wearing leather shoes) to Bali was late taking off, so we were late getting into Darwin so we missed the connection, Feral gave us vouchers for a breakfast and a lunch for the 2 of us , and booked us into a nearby Motel - great , no apology, got better , voucher did not cover cost of breakfast ,Motel kicked us out at 10am , flight was that afternoon - we lost a days holiday
Also when we were in the Qantas Club lounge (we are both members) we were told to leave as there were no more Qantas flights , I said but...

THE BUGGERS TOOK MY FISHING RODS......NEVER RETURNED....BIG MISTAKE

I was boarding a flight from Cairns to Sydney with some of my best tackle. As I approached the check-in counter I gave the lady a nice yet seductive smile. She arrogantly returned this kind gesture with a....''there is no room for your rod on this flight and it must be left here''. The flight was boarding in 15minutes and i had no choice but to find a fisherman in the airport and give him my entire tackle with rods.
Will never fly jetstar again.
