Lost Bag and Jetstar dont give a stuff

I went on a holiday to NZ for a bit of Skiing and flew Jetstar for the first time, the staff onboard were stale and sour unlike any airline Ive flown previous It was shocking they couldnt even crack a smile.
When I got to Auckland airport my bag with my ski gear did not come around the carasel, so I reported it to the staff It took 3 people to work out what the correct procedure was!!

booked 2 tickets me and my gf ?1200 each???? and aprantly no meals no luggage and if we want luggage its like 105 for 40kgs and they gave us a free 20KG there and on way back none so we had to buy 210 dollors of stuff and we still need to buy meals and what not. $2410+ GTFO jetstar

4 months to get compensated for a damaged bag.

On April 20, 2011 at 4am I arrived in Darwin, Australia after a flight from Singapore and discovered that my brand new suitcase was missing a wheel.

As soon as we cleared immigration I went straight to the Jetstar counter to report it. Considering that there was only one other person in front of me having to wait half an hour to be seen was a real irritation especially at 4am while the rest of my family was patiently waiting.

I was given a reference number and told that someone would be in contact with me in the next few days.

I forgot about it for the next few weeks...

Unreasonable Demand from Call Center

I booked online a return flight on behalf on my Indonesian friend who doesn't understand English for a return flight from Singapore to Surabaya. Awesome reading the complaints that people have left.
As the title says, Never have, never will, I definitely will not fly JS.
Hearing from friends and family who have flown JS and then reading peoples complaints on this site have made a difference to whom I fly with in the future.
Born in NZ, been living in oz for years, flown over the Tasman Sea plenty a time, not once with JS and nor do I intend to.
I think one reason why JS have some many f**k up's is because of the lack of government intervention into JS and it's parent...

Cancelled flight

I was booked for a 6 Nov flight. They cancelled and rescheduled it without telling me. I just received an email with new itinerary. I called and I was told help is available through a refund. Help by refunding!?? When all travel plans have already put into place?!!! And the guy at the other line of the customer service number said he will call me back for more options AND he didnt! A%$hole!!! With the re reschedulling, I lost a day's worth of income and gained a whole lot of stress! Jetstar you SUCK!!!!!

Passport lost

when making a booking at the auckland airport the attendant took my paspport, asked me to step back so she could help someone else. then when I enquired about my passport told me "I can see what's on the counter" I insisted that one of the people she helped for an earlier flight must of taken my passport by mistake and that she could get an announcement made on that plane for passengers to check whether they have correct passports.

I had no joy from her and then thought well they've asked me to write my name and ALL my details on a large piece of paper which I had in my passport...

Flight cancelled (again) and still be sold on the website!!!!

Just checked in online for tomorrow’s flights, no problem. I then get an email from Jetstar confirming my check in. At the same time as receiving the email I also get a text message from Jetstar saying the flight has been cancelled and to call a certain number. Letter for insurance purposes

Have phoned 4 times regarding letter for Insurance purposes re flights cancelled Unable to claim $1890.00 in new fares costs until I receive the letter always told it is being posted tomorrrow!!!!!!! Shitstar lives up to its name!

I gave Jetstar this name after an incident four years ago when I was about to fly to Newcastle out of BNE and was told the flight was delayed because of bad weather there. I phoned my staff member who was due to pick me up and asked how bad the weather was, only to be told he was at the Newcastle airport and it was fine and sunny. Fraudulent Baggage charges on website 'glitch'. Is this happening to anyone else?

I'm trying to add more baggage to my existing reservation via the Manage Your Booking page.

The site says that to add an extra 20 kg to my reservation will be $23 per person for 2 people. It clearly states: Amount owing: $46.

When I click PAY and go to the page to enter my credit card details it says the amount owing is $100.

A few days ago I did the same thing and it came up with amount owing: $180, for the same reservation, same baggage amount.

This is dishonest and fraudulent activity. I rang the call center who advised me there was nothing they could do and...

i booked a return flight to thailand in may,the services and lack of interest from the flight attendants was spectacular except when it came to accesing my credit card,as a result i flagged away my return ticket and bought a one way return with thai airways,what a complete difference,i would rather walk and swim on my return to thailand than ever fly with crapstar again.

Cancelled for no reason

We turned up at Christchurch airport on Sunday 21 August 2011 to find that our flight to Brisbane had been cancelled. The most frustrating aspect of our experience was the complete lack of active support by the airline for its customers. Some customers seemed to be able to go down the online check-in queue (which had no one in it) and gain service straight-away; but the majority of customers had to wait in a long queue. Credit Card taken

Had my Credit Card taken from a hostess last night on redeye from Bali to Darwin, i fell asleep and she failed to return my Credit Card, Ive rang and filled out form with customer service, unfortunatly they dont seem to concerned about this dilemma. So i am about to head to the airport to chat with the AFP about the theft of my card by a Jetstar employee, which unfortunatly happened over international waters and under international law is considered an act of piracy.

Jetstar gave WRONG arrival date

Jetstar called 5 hours before departure time to cancel my flight from Sydney to Honolulu on 2 Aug.

They moved the flight to the next day (3 Aug) and their call centre staff advised that the new flight would depart on 3 Aug in the morning and would arrive on the same day (3 Aug). Their call centre even advised that I should take connecting flight to Canada on 4 Aug as arrival date/time (3 Aug 1015pm) would not meet WestJet flight departure time at 10pm on 3 Aug.

I made two phone calls again to check and confirm the arrival date. The call centre staff insisted that arrival...

9 weeks for a REFUND, their internet booking stuff up!

I tried booking flights with Jetstar over the internet, at the last stage it stated that the transaction was cancelled and I needed to start again, I did this 3 times before I gave up and booked with another airline carrier – Virgin Australia. Not once did it state that the booking was confirmed. I then received an email for a flight intinerary and checked that the credit card was charged from JetStar.
This took my credit card overdrawn, so I got charged for this. 2 lots of $650!!!

Australian Pilots being made redundant due to Operational Cut Backs

Twenty Hours to get from Christchurch to Sydney

terrible direct deposit system

Hi guys,
I wanna share a very bad experience about Jetstar airline.
The story begin 3 weeks ago.

23rd July, I booked the flight from Melbourne-Sydney (round trip) on 13th - 16th Aug on the website and paid an airfare via direct deposit at AUD$138.00.

25th July, I called Jetstar to confirm my itinerary. Staff said they haven't get any money.

26th July, Calling again and they said the same thing.

27th July, I called again. The staff said send the document to proof that my money gone through ur account. Then I called my bank and she said 'the money...

Overpaid and after 8 weeks still can not get MY money back

I wish I had of read this site before I booked my flights back from NZ.
I thought I was being smart by paying direct deposit so I wouldnt have to pay the CC processing fee, well was I wrong.

Because the flight was from NZ to Aust, the amount was in NZ dollars, to be on the safe side I just deposited the equilvilent in AUD and thought that theh difference would be refunded. I was wrong, 8 weeks on and I am still waiting. I have been told many times that I am getting a refund and that I should get it in 15 days, then I am told it is approved and that it has been fast tracked and...

Bumped our flights to next day killing whole holiday

After booking JetStar to Singapore we booked another airline to Delhi and a package tour neither of which we can now meet because they emailed that they had no choice but to cancel our flight to improve aircraft utilisation so they could keep providing low fares WTF?

The other flight is of course non refundable.

Avoid like the plague!
